Goddard House Property Put on Market
The board responsible for the property is hopeful a buyer will not teardown the 86-year-old building.

More changes could be on the table for South Huntington Avenue.
The board of the non-profit Goddard House nursing home put the property at 201 S. Huntington St. up for sale this week, according to the Jamaica Plain Gazette and Boston.com Thursday.
Goddard House board spokeswoman Diana Pisciotta told Boston.com that they are hopeful the buyer would preserve the building. The Goddard House nursing home closed last September.

This is the latest real estate issue to take place in the South Huntington Avenue area of Jamaica Plain. Currently, the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council are entangled in a lawsuit against the Boston Board of Appeals, which approved a Boston Residential Group plan to turn the former Home for Little Wanderers site, 161 S. Huntington Ave., into an apartment complex.
