JP Weekend Agenda: Music Festival Event, Sundance Film Screening

Free Fun Fridays at Arnold/Franklin: On Friday, head to either the Franklin Park Zoo or the Arnold Arboretum for a free and fun time!

Film Screening: Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Nate Smith House, 155 Lamartine, watch a screening of "A Fierce Green Fire: The Battle for a Living Planet" at 11 a.m.

Voters for Animals: Mayoral candidate Bill Walzcak will lead a discussion on animal issues 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4 at Doyle's.

"Night of the Living Rat:" Boston bands will cover the music of the era of "The Rat" (aka The Rathskeller). The event is at the Midway Cafe, it begins at 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Cover is $10, proceeds go toward the JP Music Festival.
