MBTA Police: Victim Trespassing On Tracks When Struck

Authorities continue to investigate the incident at Stony Brook.

Police are investigating an incident at the Stony Brook T Station in which a woman was struck and killed by an inbound Orange Line train.

From the Transit Police news blog:

On June 5, 2013 at approximately 2:45pm Transit Police officers from Area 4 received a radio call for a person possibly struck by an Orange Line train at the MBTA StonyBrook station. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Boston Police, EMS and Fire. Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information : a white female, approximately in her 30's was trespassing on the inbound track towards the south end of  Stony Brook station and was struck by an MBTA Orange Line train. The female has been pronounced deceased. Transit Police detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances leading to the incident.
