Police Recover Gun Near Jamaica Plain Playground
The loaded firearm, which was discovered Tuesday morning, also had a cocked hammer.
The Boston Police Department recovered a loaded gun that was left near a playground around 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
The firearm, a Smith & Wesson .41 Magnum, was left at a playground near 435 Walnut Ave. in Jamaica Plain.
The firearm was rendered safe and recovered by detectives.

The Boston Police Department would like to remind residents to never touch a gun and to immediately contact police if a discarded gun is spotted.
