UPDATE: Stabbing Suspect Escapes Police After Jump From Window

The suspect of a weekend stabbing, who had barricaded himself in his Boston apartment, escaped police after jumping out a window, according to reports.

Police and the the suspect were engaged in a standoff in his home in the Archdale Housing Complex on Brookway Terrace. There were reportedly two women and four children inside the apartment. Residents in surrounding homes had been evacuated and the power company was reportedly on hand to cut power to the building, wcvb.com reported.

The man, who had barricaded himself in his apartment, is married with children, the station reported. There is no word on any injuries at this point.
