Report: Affordable Housing in Boston Difficult to Find

Renters in greater Boston are finding difficulty locating affordable housing, according to a new report.

The Boston Globe noted that young workers in Boston for graduate programs and jobs are dishing out more for rent and baby boomers in the suburbs looking to downsize are struggling to do so.

The 12th annual housing report card released Wednesday by the Boston Foundation says the Boston metro’s economy is thriving but housing is falling short of goals. The report was prepared by the Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy at Northeastern University.
