Walkers and runners will line up in Hyde Square to choose one of three Jamaica Plain routes for the second annual neighborhood 5K. Hundreds will take to the streets, but mostly the sidewalks, in today's second annual Hyde Square Neighborhood 5K Run/Walk. The event is presented by the Hyde Square Task Force and is on today despite the rain. <a href="https://www.racemenu.com/events/24431-Neighborhood-5k-Run-Walk-" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">The 5K has three routes</a> which participants have pre-selected, all beginning and ending on Perkins Street in Hyde Square. The JP Route, The Jackson Route and the Mozart Route. The run/walk is restricted to sidewalks in the area, and the streets will remain open during the event, which begins at 9 a.m. The event will only be postponed and run on its rain date, tomorrow, if there's lightning.
