Author and Child Psychologist to Speak Sunday
Talk is the 20th anniversary event of The Anne E. Borghesani Community Foundation
Dr. Richard Weissbourd, a child and family psychologist and a Harvard University faculty member, will be speaking Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Lexington Depot.
Weissbourd is the author of "The Parents We Mean to Be" and "The Vulnerable Child." He is a father of three, and draws on his experiences as a parent to understand and educate about the daily challenges parents face.
Weissbourd's work focuses on vulnerability and resilience in childhood, moral development, effective schools and services for children and the achievement gap. He hopes to offer parents insight into what they are doing right and where they may consider changing their parenting.
