Cary Library Foundation Seeks Artists for Juried Show and Sale
Submission deadline is Oct. 10, show and sale to be held in May.
An October deadline has been announced for a juried art show to be held in spring at featuring a range of works by artists.
The Cary Memorial Library Foundation is seeking about 35 artists for its third annual Cary Library Art Sale and Soiree on May 1 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Selected artists will exhibit their art for sale, with 25 percent of the sale price going to the library. Artists who donate to the silent auction will have that work exhibited in the library's first floor gallery one month prior, and exhibited on the foundation's website.
A variety of artwork will be considered for the show, including ceramics, glass, metal, painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, wood, drawing, textiles, paper art and other media.

Artists who submit work must currently be showing in galleries or museums, or have done so within the past five years. Also being sought are artists whose work is in private or public collections.
Artists should submit a biography and a CD with no more than six to eight images (300 dpi) of work of the same medium by Oct. 10, including title, medium, size and price.

Submissions should be marked CLASS 3 and sent to the Foundation Office, Cary Memorial Library, 1874 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington, 02420. A jury will review submissions and make selections by Jan. 15.
