Discussions of 'Eaarth' Precede Author Bill McKibben's Talk
July 28 and Aug. 18 discussions of "Eaarth" lead up to late August talk by Lexington native Bill McKibben.
While environmentalist and Lexington native Bill McKibben's talk about his latest book "Eaarth" is still a month away, residents have a chance to take part in two discussions about his book prior to next month's event.
Sponsored by the Lexington Global Warming Action Committee (LexGWAC) and the Lexington Community Farm Coalition, McKibben will speak at Cary Hall on Sunday, Aug. 29 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, and books will be available for sale and for signing by McKibben.
This Wednesday, LexGWAC is holding a discussion of "Eaarth" at Cary Memorial Library from 7 to 9 p.m. A second discussion will also be held at the library on Aug. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. Seating is limited, and those interested in attending the discussions may e-mail info@LexGWAC.org.
