Call for Artists: Juried Show, Deadline Aug. 27

Call for Local Artists - Deadline, Aug. 27. We are looking for original artwork: prints, paintings, or drawings for a themed exhibit on "Celebrating Life: The Food we Eat."

Accepted entries in this juried exhibit will show from Sept. 1 to Feb. 28 at  restaurant in Lexington. Open to all Massachusetts artists. For more information email: nourishart@gmail.com

Owners of Nourish are particularly supportive of the arts in the community and are lending their walls to Massachusetts artists. (No commission is taken if something sells, although there is a 10 percent suggested donation to a local food pantry.)

Submissions will be juried by: Barbara Lucas, artist; Emily Passman, artist and gallery owner, Francesca Anderson.

Those interested in submitting, please do the following:

• Provide up to 4 digital images at 72 dpi each. For each image include the following information: Name of the artist; Medium; Size of the finished piece (indicating H for height and W for width). Please note that artwork, including frame, must not exceed a height of 36" or a width of 48". Smaller is fine.

• Include a text file with your biography, address, phone number and e-mail address.

• Please e-mail the images and information to nourishlexington@hotmail.com

Deadline for submissions: midnight on Friday, Aug. 27. If your work is accepted, you will be notified by e-mail at the end of August and will receive information about where/when to deliver your work in the first week of September.
