Join LHS parents for a workshop designed to improve understanding of resources available and ideas for reducing stress in our teens.
A panel discussion and conversation with: Melissa Buttaro and Tessa Clare, LHS guidance counselors; Julie Fenn, substance abuse prevention specialist; Janet Foley, LHS nurse; Laurie Henry, director of Lexington Youth Services; Jim Johnson, Lexington Fire Dept., emergency room nurse; Emmett O'Brien-Diamond, PE and wellness; Martha Queenin; LHS social worker; Jim Rettman, Lexington Police Dept.; and LHS students.
The panel will present some of the resources that are available to families and teens in our community and schools, with a focus on reducing stress and building resilency.
Each member of the panel will give a brief presentation with tips for where to go for help and how to guide teens toward good and healthy choices.
Following the presentations, panelists will answer questions from parents. Depending on the number of attendees, the event may break into smaller groups to discuss specific issues.
