Family Bike Ride Set for Saturday

Two hour ride explores conservation land and other sites in town.

Saturday, the Friends of Lexington Bikeways is holding a six-mile "Family Bike Ride" at 9 a.m., starting in town center and riding out to explore conservation land and more.

Riders should meet at the corner of Mass Avenue and Fletcher Avenue, at the intersection of Woburn Street, where the Lexington Farmers' Market is held. Hemets are required, and the friends' group recommends riders bring water.

Bikers will visit Lower Vine Brook, town conservation land, a tree farm and brook cleaning sites, the sand pits on North Street and the pond restoration at Willard's Woods.
