Fenway Park Hosts Lexington Police Honor Guard
Honor Guard posts colors before Rex Sox game at Fenway Park.
Before last Friday's game at Fenway Park, where the Red Sox handily beat the Phillies 12-2, the uniformed men who took to the field weren't doing so to play baseball.
The Lexington Police Honor Guard posted colors during the singing of the national anthem prior to Friday night's game, marching from the foul line to center field holding flags and rifles.
It was the first time the Lexington honor guard has ever posted colors at Fenway Park, said Sgt. Paul Callahan, and there is a long waiting list to do so.
