Fire incidents:

A carbon-monoxide detector activated on Monday, July 12 at 2:06 p.m. at a Hancock Street home, which was checked and no problem was found. The alarm is believed to have been activated by the weather.

Also on, Monday, July 12, a fire was reported at 3:18 p.m. at 130 East Emerson Road. Firefighters arrived to find fire throughout the roof and attic, and requested a second alarm. Mutual aid came from Hanscom Air Force Base, Waltham, Arlington, Burlington and Bedford. Two firefighters were treated at Lahey Clinic for heat exhaustion, and later released. The fire, which was mainly in the attic and roof area, was put out by about 5:50 p.m.

On Friday, a hardwired smoke detector sounded at a residence on Lincoln Street around 10:04 p.m., and the home was checked with no problems found. Firefighters advised the resident to replace the battery and clean the detectors.

On Tuesday, July 6, Lexington firefighters, as part of the Metro Fire Forestry Task Force, provided mutual aid to Groton to help battle a fire that burned 12 acres of remote, dense woods. Crews worked two one-hour shifts, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Also on Tuesday, Lexington firefighters assisted a Highland Avenue resident at 8:34 p.m. The resident requested a generator to power an oxygen machine, and was told to call 911 if problems arose during the night.
