Lexington Fire Dept. Holds Swearing-In Ceremony
Philip Boisvert and Kevin Ciccone join the department; Peter Ricci is promoted.
The Lexington Fire Dept. held a ceremony Wednesday afternoon at swearing-in two new members of the department and promoting an existing firefighter to lieutenant.
Philip Boisvert was sworn in as assistant fire chief by Town Clerk Donna Hooper. Before coming to Lexington, Boisvert spent 28 years with the Reading Fire Department — as a firefighter for 16 years, lieutenant for four and captain for eight.
Kevin Ciccone joins the department as a firefighter/EMT, after working for four years with Action Ambulance in Wakefield and Professional Ambulance in Cambridge. Ciccone, a Waltham resident, started with the department on May 25.

Peter Ricci, who has been a firefighter in Lexington for 13 years, was promoted to lieutenant. He grew up in town, graduated from Lexington High School in 1985, and now lives in Bedford.
Fire Chief Bill Middlemiss congratulated them on their new roles.

"Today I'm pleased to have at this ceremony three individuals who are taking on new positions with the Lexington Fire Department," he said. "The three of them all have their own contributions to make."
