Lexington Residents Honored for Blood Donation

Mt. Auburn Hospital recently honored Lexington residents Armida Garcia and John Shugert for their efforts in an employee blood donor program.

Armida, who works in rehab services, and Shugert, who works in development, have given blood in pursuit of joining the hospital's "Two-Gallon Club." A ceremony was held at the hospital during Donor Recognition Week, and the pair was thanked for their efforts by Elzbieta Griffiths, medical director of the hospital's blood bank.
