Oil Spill Vigil Held at Depot Square

Event attracts more than 50 people.

The Lexington Global Warming Action Coalition (GWAC) held an oil spill vigil Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Depot Square, hoping to raise awareness about the dangers of off-shore drilling and the need for alternative energy sources.

More than 50 people attended the vigil, holding signs and listening to a range of speakers as drivers on Massachusetts Avenue passed, some honking or waving in approval.
