Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration is Tonight

Event at the Lexington Depot features readings and ice cream.

Join the Lexington Historical Society today at 7 p.m. for an "Old-Fashioned 4th of July" at the as it returns to 1776 to celebrate the holiday with readings conducted by costumed residents.

The Lexington Declaration, by Levi Mead, will be read by Sam Doran; the Declaration of Independence, by Rev. Jonas Clarke, will be read by Rev. Dr. Peter Meek; and the British Response, by Major John Pitcairn, will be read by Paul O'Shaughnessy.
