Police Log: A Swearing Man, Accidents and an OUI Arrest
The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Aug. 16
1:30 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported on Hill Street.
9:18 p.m. – A parking complaint came in from Adams Street.

9:53 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a middle-aged black man carrying a backpack and cursing at people as he walked past them in the area of Bedford Street and Mass Ave. The responding officers were unable to locate anyone matching that description.
3:51 p.m. – A Grove Street resident reported attempted breaking-and-entering in which one of her home’s rear windows was damaged in an apparent attempt to enter the residence. The incident is under investigation.

4:41 p.m. – Police responded to a report of past vandalism to a car on Laconia Street. According to the incident report, a resident believed her transmission was cut and an iPhone was stolen from the vehicle sometime the previous Monday night or Tuesday morning. The incident is under investigation.
5:18 p.m. – A four-car motor vehicle accident was reported in the area of Adams and North streets. According to the incident report, three of the vehicles were towed, one operator was cited and one passenger transported to a nearby hospital.
7:46 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at Emerson Gardens, where a woman spotted someone crawling into a neighbor’s residence through a window. According to the incident report, the person in question was the niece of the homeowner, who was staying there but had locked herself out.
8:56 p.m. – A noise complaint came in from Nichols Road reporting lout bagpipes in the area.
Saturday, Aug. 17
2:53 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Mass Ave., Erin Lydia Murphy, 29, of 15 Cary Ave., Lexington, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, operating after her license was suspended, stop sign violation, marked lanes violation and speeding.
1:46 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic dispute on North Street.
1:55 p.m. – A hit-and-run accident was reported in the area of Pleasant and Mason streets.
9:21 p.m. – A suspicious motor vehicle was reported in the area of Marrett Road.
Sunday, Aug. 18
12:35 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Marrett Road.
2:50 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a Bassett hound running loose in the area of Asbury and Freemont streets.
4:02 p.m. – A bicycle was reported stolen form the Depot Square area.
6:27 p.m. – Police assisted with a residential lockout on Waltham Street.
