Police Log: Stolen Copper, Stolen Pain Medication

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Aug. 19

8:06 a.m. – Police responded to a report of theft of copper water service on Victory Garden Way. The alleged theft reportedly occurred over the weekend, according to the incident report.

2:07 p.m. – A hit-and-run accident with property damage was reported on Mass Ave.

11:59 p.m. – A suspicious motor vehicle was reported on Pelham Road.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

8:23 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a person pulling door handles in the area of Drummer Boy Way.

11:24 a.m. – Animal Control was notified of a coyote with mange in the area of Potter Pond.

11:40 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a man selling perfume from a backpack on Mass Ave. There were two people involved, and they were advised on the process for getting a permit, the incident report said.

4:01 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Mass Ave.

9:27 p.m. – Police responded to a reported assault and battery on Pelham Road. According to the incident report, a Pelham Academy supervisor reported being assaulted by a resident the previous day. The matter is under investigation.

10:37 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Hayden Avenue.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

1:40 a.m. – An officer on patrol observed two teens carrying a girl in the area of Bedford and Reed streets. Two of the teens received civil citations for marijuana possession.

8:58 a.m. – Police responded to a report of vandalism on Cedar Street.

9:35 a.m. – A hit-and-run accident with property damage was reported on Whipple Road.

9:44 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Marrett and Kendall roads.

10:13 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Waltham and Worthen roads.

12:29 p.m. – A bicycle was reported stolen on Worthen Road.

2:24 p.m. – As a result of a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Mass and Pelham Road, Robert F. O’Hanesian, 56, of 52 Stone Road, Arlington, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended.

9:41 p.m. – A loose dog was reported in the area of Park Drive and Muzzey Street.

Thursday, Aug. 22

10:54 a.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Mass Ave in which a pedestrian was reportedly struck.

12:55 p.m. – A Woodcliffe Road resident reported spotting a window-washer going through drawers in the house. As a result, William J. Mannion, Jr., 49, of 15 Lyman St., Waltham, was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a Class B substance, larceny and attempting to commit a crime. Based on the investigation, police found Mannion had taken prescription pain medication from another house in town, according to the incident report.

1:50 p.m. – Police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident on Mass Ave.

1:54 p.m. – A larceny from a building was reported on Marrett Road.

3:24 p.m. – A slashed tire was reported on Emerson Gardens Road.

5:39 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Hancock Street.

8:20 p.m. – A disturbance was reported on Pleasant Street.

10:13 p.m. – A suspicious white van was reported on Hathaway Road.
