Police: May 22 Burglary May Be Linked To Others
Burglary on Bertwell Road similar to ones in Lexington and nearby towns
A home on Bertwell Road broken into over the weekend was likely invaded by the same person or persons who committed similar burglaries in February and March, police said.
The Bertwell Road home was broken into while the residents were away on Saturday, said Lt. Detective Manny Ferro, and as of Monday police were waiting for a report listing items taken.
The electric meter on the home was pulled off the outside of the house, which disabled the electricity and alarms, Ferro said. The same method was used when two homes in Lexington were broken into in February and March, and jewelry and silverware were taken, he said.

Ferro said the home was broken into through the back door. Cabinets and drawers were gone through and left open throughout the home, he said.
Similar burglaries have also occurred in Woburn, Winchester and Lincoln.
