Polymer clay has its day and localvores in Lexington.
Monday wasn't a good day for the Lexington High School which lost in the Division 1 state semifinals to Wellesley, 4-1. The team had gone undefeated until Monday's match, after beating Concord-Carlisle High School in the Division 1 North championship on June 11.
On Tuesday, the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society's new exhibit, opened at the society's Parsons Gallery. The exhibit is running through June 27, and a reception was held yesterday. Click on the link above to see a video showing some of the polymer clay art on display.
Also on Tuesday, the Lexington Farmers' Market held "Bike to the Market Day" and the Friends of Lexington Bikeways was offering a bike valet and corral service.

Wednesday night, the Planning Board met, discussions centered around economic development in the Hartwell Avenue area as a traffic plan is being considered.
Also, Lexington Community Education held a talk, on Wednesday night, with a panel including the Lexington Farmers' Market founder, Nourish restaurant's owner and Lexington Community Farm Coalition founder.

On Thursday, Rep. Jay Kaufman held his monthly "Open House" public policy forum at Cary Hall. It was a special night – marking the series' 15th anniversary and 145th forum. The discussion topic of the night: taxes.
