EMTs receive sanctions from the state; cell tower application denied.
Early this week, the state Dept. of Public Health announced that Mark Culleton, a paramedic with the Lexington Fire Department and Atlantic Ambulance Service was having his EMT-paramedic certification permanently revoked for giving other EMTs training cards for courses they did not complete. Also, six Lexington firefighters are on a list of 214 EMTs who are receiving nine-month sanctions for allegedly having false EMT recertification course records.
On Tuesday, the Conservation Commission came to a decision on voting that dogs could be let off-leash in the woods on weekdays but must be leashed on weekends, starting Sept. 1.
A revised version of the proposed Hartwell Avenue transportation mitigation plan was presented at Wednesday night's Planning Board public hearing, and after hearing more details about the plan, the board decided to table the plan until fall so more work can be done on it this summer.

On Wednesday around 5:30 p.m., a four-year-old Lexington boy went missing from his Donald Street home. He was found 1.5 hours later, near a marshy area close to the National Guard Armory.
A ceremony was held Thursday afternoon at Tower Park, where the town's Tree Committee planted an ash tree in honor of Jeanne Krieger. Krieger served as a selectman for 12 years before choosing not to run for re-election this spring.
