Annual Library Book Sale This Weekend, Author Visits Next Week

After this weekend's used book sale at Lynnfield Library, author of "Haunted Baseball" set to talk Wednesday at Old Meeting House.

The Friends of the Lynnfield Library hold their annual used book sale at the Old Meeting House this Saturday, October 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Old Meeting House, with the annual preview for the friends members from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening.

The Lynnfield Library welcomes Dan Gordon, author of “Haunted Baseball: Ghosts, Curses, Legends and Eerie Events” next Wednesday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Old Meeting House. This is part of a new and ongoing author series by the library, with Hank Phillip Ryan reportedly set to visit on December 10 to discuss her new book “The Wrong Girl.”

From there, the library also announced this week that William C. Sano, an area musical educator, conductor and pianist and organist, will return to the Meeting House for a new lecture series entitled “Sisters Who Sing.” Sano’s latest lineup will run Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon with The Andrews Sisters on October 31, The McGuire Sisters on November 7, the Lennon Sisters on Nov. 14 and The Supremes on Nov. 21.
