Police Investigating Four-Month Old Baby Boy's Death

No charges have been filed in connection with this death; the investigation continues.

The Essex District Attorney’s Office is investigating the death of a four-month-old baby from Lynn.

Lynn Police and Lynn Fire/EMS responded to a 911 call from a staff member of a shelter located at 555 Western Ave. reporting an “unresponsive baby” at about 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26., according to the DA’s office on Thursday.

The male infant was transported to North Shore Children’s Hospital and then later airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital. He was pronounced dead about 5 p.m. Sunday.

At this time, no charges have been filed in connection with this death. The Essex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the DA’s Office and the Lynn Police continue to investigate.
