Middlesex Sheriff's Officer Dies After Battle With ALS

Corrections Officer Matt Snow passed away this weekend, according to the Middlesex Sheriff's Office.

LYNN, MA – Corrections Officer Matt Snow passed away this weekend after a battle with ALS, according to the Middlesex Sheriff's Office.

In a post on Twitter and Facebook, the sheriff's office called Snow "an incredible friend, colleague and family member." Snow's father, Brad Snow of Lynn, was also a Middlesex Sheriff Officer. He passed away of ALS in 2013.

Snow was recognized by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security over the summer with a Community Service Award for his effort to combat Lou Gehrig’s Disease in memory of Brad Snow, along with Officer Keith Zewiey.
