Over 300 Turn Out for 10th Annual OD's Memorial 5K
Annual event memorializes Johnny O'Donnel, LHS Class of '03.

The following was provided by OD's Memorial 5K Run/Walk:
The 10th Annual OD’s Memorial 5K Run/Walk took place on Sunday, September 22nd at Lynnfield High School. Despite the forecast for rain, over 300 people gathered at LHS to participate in this memorial event, honoring Johnny O’Donnell. The skies cleared in time for the start of the event, lending to perfect weather conditions for the runners and walkers.
Johnny “OD” was a graduate of Lynnfield High School’s class of 2003 and a dedicated three sport athlete, loved by all. A number of Johnny’s former classmates, teachers, friends and family members joined in the event to honor his memory. Strong support was received by both the LHS cross country track and girl’s volleyball teams. Proceeds from this event will directly benefit the John O’Donnell Memorial Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to graduating members of Lynnfield High School.
The overall winners of this year’s race were Lindsey O’Connell (Cambridge), winner in the female division (time 23:11)and Chris Soucy (Beveryl) in the male division (time 18:05.) Please find complete results posted on www.coolrunning.com.
