Wynn Resorts recently announced that it has awarded more than $3 million in contracts to certified veteran-owned businesses in the design phase of the five-star Wynn Everett resort.
The recent Wynn contracts to veteran-business enterprises total $3,165,000, or 6.2 percent of the entire design-phase expense. The amount is more than six times the $500,000 goal established by Wynn and the Massachusetts Gaming Commission for veteran-owned businesses in the design phase of the project.
Wynn Resorts has a working relationship with more than 200 minority, woman and veteran-owned businesses and suppliers, according to compnay officials. Wynn Everett has reached out to veteran-owned businesses and the broader veteran community in the Commonwealth to promote job and vendor opportunities that are being created by the Wynn Everett project.
