'Mansfield Advocates For Children' Offering Free Technology Safety Info Session
'That App Does What?' will cover topics such as what various "apps" do, strategies for monitoring kids' internet and social media use.

From MAC: Mansfield Advocates for Children (“MAC”) is offering a free session for the community to learn about how to keep kids safe in their use of technology on February 15, 2017, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, at the Mansfield Senior Center, 303 Maple Road, Storrs. The session, That App Does What?, will cover topics such as what various “apps” do, strategies for monitoring kids’ internet and social media use, and how to prevent access to certain apps and websites. The presentation will feature interactive demonstrations as well.
Childcare will be provided at no cost. The program will be facilitated by Adam Delaura, systems librarian for the Mansfield Public Library, and Sarah Dufresne, Outreach Social Worker for the Town of Mansfield.
