Mansfield HS Repairs More Expensive Than Expected

Residents will be asked to approve the extra costs during a special town meeting.

MANSFIELD, MA — More money than expected will be needed to repair the rear wall at Mansfield High School.

A Special Town Meeting will be held in the fall, where voters will be asked to approve an extra $600,000 for the repairs. The original estimate was $1.3 million, but an improving economy and rising costs pushed the figure up to $1.9 million, according to the Sun Chronicle.

About half the cost of the project will be reimbursed by the Massachusetts School Building Authority.
