Mansfield Man Gets Jail Time For Police Standoff
Michael Holyoke, 34, was sentenced to six months in jail by Attleboro District Court Judge Daniel O'Shea.

MANSFIELD, MA — A man who threw a television out a window and caused a 90-minute standoff with police on East Street will spend time behind bars.
Michael Holyoke, 34, was sentenced to six months in jail by Attleboro District Court Judge Daniel O'Shea. The total sentence was two years with the remaining balance suspended with probation for two years, according to the Sun Chronicle.
In May, police responded to a report of a man who threw a television out the window of his East Street home before breaking windows. The man, identified as Holyoke, then armed himself with a shard of glass and began nailing his doors and windows shut, according to a press release from Mansfield Police Chief Ronald Sellon.
