Mansfield Police Log Through August 6

The following is from the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

August 5

12:30 a.m. Suspicious Person/Motor Vehicle. Red Roof Inn, 60 Forbes Blvd. Calling Party Reports multiple drunken individuals in her back parking lot. She would like them removed. Officer reports parties have gone to bed in their hotel rooms.

12:32 a.m. 
Suspicious Person/Motor Vehicle. Pine-Williams Street. Calling party reports a silver/gray pickup truck destroying mailboxes, unable to locate pickup in question. 

12:49 a.m. Suspicious Person/Motor Vehicle. South Main Street. Calling party reports a man in a red shirt and black shorts was possibly assaulted. Patient's family is at Comcast Center, awaiting officer's arrival. Rescue transporting to Sturdy. The injured party failed to report his being assaulted to five separate officers on-scene. Party had no cuts or scrapes or marks at time of transport.

1:28 a.m. Disturbance/General. Red Roof Inn, 60 Forbes Blvd. Manager reports an individual in Room 325 is acting crazy. Parties are being asked to leave the Red Roof Inn. Officer is driving them to the station at 50 West Street to wait for a ride. Parties now in lobby.

8:25 a.m. Malicious damage. Carlow Crossing. Reporting party reports her daughter's car was egged in the driveway sometime overnight. Reporting Party reports the vehicle has already been cleaned off and they do not wish to speak with an officer. Reporting Party is requesting extra patrols on the next several days. Log note. 

12:41 p.m. General Service. Cumberland Farms, 30 Chauncy Street. Cell caller reports an intoxicated individual is on a bike in the area of 30 Chauncy street. Male party taken into protective custody. 

1:33 p.m. Breaking and Entering (Motor Vehicle). School Street. Reporting Party reports his vehicle was broken into overnight. Officer reports vehicle was left unsecured, fast pass and GPS was taken. Clear. 

August 6

8:17 a.m. Breaking and Entering (Motor Vehicle). Reporting Party reports her husband's car was broken into sometime overnight. Sunglasses and some change were taken. 

10:44 a.m. Douglas Drive. Johnnie Williams, 54, of Pawtucket, R.I. was arrested for breaking and entering, malicious destruction, larceny, and possession of burglar’s tools.

10:20 p.m. Animal Complaint. Memorial Park, Hope Street. Caller reports an injured bunny near the bathrooms. Officer reports the bunny is dying.
