Mansfield Youth Services, Goodwin Elementary Present SAFE(re)CYCLE

The event will be on Sunday, April 23 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. If you have a bike to donate or are in need of a bike, RSVP by April 14.

From Mansfield Youth Services, Goodwin Elementary: Mansfield Youth Services, in collaboration with Goodwin Elementary School, proudly presents SAFE(re)CYCLE on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Goodwin Elementary School, 321 Hunting Lodge Rd, Storrs, CT 06268. This event will feature Bikes for Kids, a charitable organization that refurbishes donated bicycles and provides them to youth who need them, along with a brand new helmet. Participants can also receive a helmet safety check with Bike Mansfield, learn about bike safety and other health information with Eastern Highlands Health District, enjoy a bike rodeo or a 2.6 mile ride on the nearby bike path, as well as music with DJ JSMITH from Jammin 107.7!

Families interested in receiving a bicycle should complete an online RSVP at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/saferecycle by April 14, 2017 to ensure that appropriate sized bikes and helmets are available. Bikes for Kids will also be accepting donations at that time of outgrown and pre-loved bikes to be restored and given to young people in Connecticut who will continue to love and benefit from them.
