Meet The New Mansfield School Administrators

Seven staff members have either come to Mansfield or moved into a new administrative position.

MANSFIELD, MA — A new school year means some new administrators will be seen walking the halls of the Mansfield Public Schools.

The school district recently released their list of new administrators. Some are new to Mansfield, while others are familiar.

James Leonard was named the new director of special education in April, moving from assistant director of secondary special education. He takes over for Bernadette Conroy, who recently entered retirement.

Zachary Abrams will take Leonard's old role.

Julia Greenstine has joined Mansfield as the director of digital learning.

At the high school, Abigail Barlas will serve as an interim assistant principal. She previously worked as a guidance counselor.

Qualters Middle School has a pair of interim administrators in Principal David McGovern and Assistant Principal Michele Kitchen. McGovern will lead the school temporarily following the departure of Suzanne Ryan while Kitchen will take McGovern's past job.

Jonathan Fass is the new assistant principal at the Jordan-Jackson Elementary School.

The first day of school in Mansfield is Sept. 5 for grades 1-12 and Sept. 7 for kindergarten and pre-K students.
