Memorial Dedicated To Killed Mansfield Teen Missing

The angel placed in memory of Shane Farrell is gone, according to his older sister.

MANSFIELD, MA — A memorial in memory of a 13-year-old Mansfield native who was killed in 2015 has gone missing, the family said this week.

Kerrin Ricci, the older sister of Shane Farrell, told WJAR that an angel statue placed by her family at the crash site is now gone, with a makeshift memorial featuring flowers, a teddy bear, and balloons now sitting in place of the statue.

Police Chief Ronald Sellon said that the angel statue was on property owned by a condo association and some other items in the area were recently missing. Police are investigating.
