No Injuries in Fiery 495 Crash

No one was injured in a fiery car accident that occurred Tuesday morning on Interstate 495 North in Mansfield, a half mile before Interstate 95, according to a statement from the Massachusetts State Police Department.

At 11:07 a.m., a passenger car driving in the center lane rear ended a tanker truck hauling corn syrup and became engulfed in flames, said the statement. 

The driver of the passenger car, a 52-year-old South Easton man, was issued a citation. The accident was cleared as of 12:30 p.m.
