The rubber duckies made their way down the Rumford River as part of the annual summer tradition!
MANSFIELD, MA — A sure sign of summer in Mansfield is when the ducks come out to race, the rubber ducks that is.
Mansfield's recreation department held the 26th annual Great Duck Race Wednesday night. Hundreds of residents came out to watch thousands of toys ducks race from Fulton Pond to the finish line near Kingman Pond, next to the Mansfield Police Department.
The first duck to cross the line was duck #186. The owners of the first 100 ducks to cross the finish line received prizes.

The event is used as a kickoff for the town's slate of summer activities. Following the race, Wonder was shown at the South Common as part of the Movie Under the Stars series.
