Police Log: Assault and Battery, Larceny, and More

The following is from the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Wednesday, September 4

1:01 p.m. Arrest/Warrant. Edge Hill Road. Jonathan Deneault, 24, of Sharon was arrested on an outstanding warrant. 

3:34 p.m. Larceny (felony). Cobb Street. Reporting Party requesting to speak with a police officer to report a theft by an employee who has been terminated from the company.


6:46 p.m. 
Suspicious person/Motor vehicle. Concetta Circle. Reporting Party reports while she was out on for a run a white male was circling her on his bicycle. Male followed reporting party to the street she lives on. Male has left the area. Description: white hair, blue shirt on a blue bike. Officer checked the area, no one matching the description.

Thursday, September 5

8:22 a.m. Disturbance/General. Reservoir Street. Norton PD reports they have received a report of one gun shot in the area of the town line. Officer reports the area is quiet. Clear. 

11:56 a.m. 
Animal Complaint. Franklin Street. Officer reports he was flagged down by a jogger and they report a stray dog is in the area. Officer has the dog and is bringing it to the shelter. 

1:22 p.m. 
Animal Complaint. Wilson Place. Officer reports his wife has a stray dog at the house. Animal Control Officer is responding. 

11:10 p.m. 
Malicious Damage. West Street. Reporting Party reports a group of five or six youths just damaged his front lawn area and knocked over a pile of stones in the yard. Reporting Party reports one youth had a white hoodie on and they all fled by foot towards to the tracks.

Friday, September 6

4:31 a.m. Larceny (felony). CVS, 261 Chauncy Street. Officer reports party walked into CVS empty handed, took diapers off the shelf and attempted to return them. A white female, approximately 5'6" wearing a white hat, white American Eagle sweatshirt with red lettering. Subject possibly left in a white ford. Officer checked Red Roof Inn, no vehicle matching that. 

11:01 p.m. 
Disturbance/General. Old Stable Drive. Caller reports fireworks/dynamite/gunshots ins the area. Second caller reports the same. 

Saturday, September 7

3:05 p.m. 
Larceny (Misdemeanor). Comcast Center, 885 South Main Street. Reporting Party walked into the station to report his wallet stolen at the Allman Brothers concert last night. 

Sunday, September 8

10:52 a.m. Assault and Battery (Felony). Comcast Center, 885 South Main Street. Reporting Party walked into the station to report past assault and robbery that occurred at a portable toilet in the VIP lot at Comcast last night. 

10:57 a.m. Animal Complaint. South Main Street. Reporting Party called to report a loose dog. Clear, white lab dog with Brockton tags dropped off at the shelter.
