2 Injured In Crash At Rt. 106/Copeland Drive Intersection

Both injured parties were taken to the hospital, according to Mansfield Fire.

MANSFIELD, MA — Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash which police described as serious.

At about 11:23 a.m. Mansfield Fire responded to the two-car crash at the intersection of Route 106 and Copeland Drive. At the scene, the Jaws of Life were needed to remove a passenger in one of the vehicles. One person was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital and another was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Both people had non-life threatening injuries.

Route 106 between Giles Place and Central Street was closed for about a half hour. The road, which was closed just past 11:30 a.m., was reopened just before noon.

Mansfield Police and Foxborough Fire assisted at the scene.

The crash is under police investigation.
