State Police ID Victims Who Died In I-495 Weekend Crash

The five-car pileup along I-495 early Saturday left two people dead, and two others injured.

MANSFIELD, MA — The two people who died after a five-car collision along I-495 in Mansfield were identified by state police Monday.

The collision happened around 4 a.m. Saturday in the southbound lanes. Police arrived at the scene to find two vehicles in the middle of the highway and three more along the shoulder.

The drivers of the two vehicles found in the highway died. They were identified as Roland Roberge, 27, of Norton, and Crystal Blake, 32, of Dorchester.

A 44-year-old from Brockton and a 46-year-old from Attleborough were also injured in the collision, but police said their injuries were minor. A fifth driver from Cumberland, RI, was not injured, state police said.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation as of Monday afternoon.
