5 Places To Picnic

It's been a hot week so far, with more hot weather in the forecast but remember, it won't last forever. Soon, we'll be back to sweaters and boots and eventually, spending our afternoons shoveling. 

So enjoy the weather while it's here, put on the sunblock and pack your picnic basket.

Here are 5 places perfect for a picnic:

1. : This park, located on Marblehead Neck, offers a great view of the harbor with a cool sea breeze even on the hottest of days. 

2. : This historic Revolutionary War fort on Front Street is a great place to take in a picnic while enjoying the view. Our favorite part? Taking in the crowd of painters typically out and seeing what they are working on.

3. : If you don't mind sand in your sandwich, go to the beach. Sit out on the sand, feel the breeze and relax.

4. : If you don't mind a short walk through the woods  consider going up and over the hill at Seaside Park for an elevated look at the harbor.

5. : There are only a few benches at the park, however, so if you choose Crocker, bring a beach chair or a blanket and enjoy your lunch al fresco.
