Dog Possibly Stolen from Marblehead Yard, Police Ask Residents to be on the Lookout
A dog may have been stolen from the the yard of a Beacon Street home on Tuesday morning.

Marblehead police are asking residents to keep their eyes open for a German Shepard dog that went missing on Tuesday morning and a couple on a dirt bike that may be connected with the dog disappearance.
The dog, named Ivy, was outside her Beacon Street home wearing a red electric fence collar when her owner heard her bark and looked outside to find her gone on Tuesday morning, police said in a Facebook post.
The owner told police they believe Ivy may have been stolen. After Ivy disappeared, the owner told police that he saw “a spray of dirt” in the yard as if a vehicle had “peeled out,” police said.

A neighbor told police at about 7:30 a.m. they saw a man and a woman on a dirt bike wearing motocross-type gear in the area of Ivy’s home. While the neighbor said they saw the dirt bike riders walk into the yard where Ivy was located, they did not see them leave with the dog.
The neighbor said it looked like the dirt bike riders had two-way communication radios on their helmets, police said. They also didn’t see any other cars in the area at the time.
