Firefighters to 'Fill the Cleat' Saturday at Getchell's Field

The First Annual Marblehead Fill the Cleat Fall Classic Men’s Softball Tournament will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 at Getchall’s Field in Marblehead.

All tournament proceeds will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The Muscular Dystrophy Association is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neuromuscular diseases.

The Tournament is being co-sponsored by the Marblehead Fire Department and Marblehead Park and Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Fire Department’s ongoing “Fill the Boot” initiative.

The Fill the Cleat Fall Classic is open to the public and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. will also be hosting a Touch-a-Truck, Silent Auction, “Guess Your Speed” radar gun and concessions that all open at 9 am.
