Marblehead schools are also considering skipping April vacation, and the town canceled its Fourth of July fireworks for this year.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The new coronavirus outbreak in Massachusetts and across the country is having vast impacts in Marblehead. Patch has compiled this round-up of the latest, local coronavirus news.
The school committee was scheduled to meet Monday to decide whether students should continue remote learning through April vacation so school can end one week early. "No one’s going anywhere, anyway," Superintendent William McAlduff said at the last school committee meeting.
The virtual school meeting at 7 p.m. Monday comes after Thursday's announcement that the state has canceled MCAS testing for the current school year.
