Marblehead Actress Cast in 'The Spruces and the Pines' Film

MARBLEHEAD, MA - A local actor and graduate of Marblehead High School has landed another role, this time in the upcoming TV movie "The Spruces and the Pines," according to WickedLocal.com.

Marblehead native Sarah Fischer, who had roles in films like "Ted" and "Here Comes the Boom", graduated in 2009 from Marblehead High School and told Wicked Local about her role in "Spruces."

According to IMDB, “The Spruces and the Pines" is a 'Romeo and Juliet' romance that takes place among two feuding New England Christmas Tree lot families.

Fischer plays Holly, friend to the male lead, Rick Spruce, played by Nick Ballard.

Fischer, who currently lives in Boston, also landed a role in the upcoming Amy Schumer movie "I Feel Pretty," which also stars Michelle Williams.

“The Spruces and the Pines” was written by Marcy Holland and directed by John Stimpson. It will be airing on Ion Television at 9 p.m. on Dec. 3, 11 a.m. on Christmas Eve and 3 p.m. on Christmas. The film is also available on iTunes and Amazon.
