Marblehead Festival Of Arts Champagne Reception On June 25

The annual Champagne Reception will mark the start of summer in Marblehead.

MARBLEHEAD, MA – Enjoy the sight of Marblehead Harbor while attending the Marblehead Festival of Arts annual Champagne Reception on Sunday, June 25, from 5 to 7 p.m., at historic Fort Sewall. The reception marks the start of the summer season as well as the 52nd year of the festival.

The festival will run from Saturday, the first of July, through Tuesday, the Fourth of July. Refreshments will be served under a tent by fine local restaurants providing fabulous edibles along with the champagne. But food and champagne is not all there is.

Enjoy the acoustic band of Rule of 3 (www.ruleof3band.com). Perhaps a dance or two to might be in order as they play harmony songs of the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Restaurants providing food include Howling Wolf Express and Neckrun Café who join returning restaurants Manhattan Sandwich Company, The Landing, Casa Mia, The Barrelman, Shubies and Starbucks, as well as Fen Yang House and Becky’s Gourmet.

One more aspect of the reception is the Hat Contest. The Contest is a long tradition of the reception in which attendees are encouraged to design special hats to wear for the event. Many of the beautiful creations have reflected history, local color, originality, and, of course, celebration of the Fourth of July. The prize will be a gift certificate for a Festival logo product.
