Marblehead Festival of Arts Seeking Volunteers: Recruitment Party

The annual Spring Recruitment Event for the Marblehead Festival of Arts will be on Sunday, April 30.

MARBLEHEAD, MA – Curious about volunteering for the Marblehead Festival of Arts? Learn more about the festival at the annual Spring Recruitment Event on Sunday.

The volunteer party will be from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Corinthian Yacht Club, and have light refreshments.

This all-volunteer organization produces the premiere local Fourth of July festival that showcases art exhibits, films, writing, live music performances, and a wide variety of family events. Volunteering for the Festival is an easy way to support local arts.

Moreover, it can be a family affair as parents, children, and siblings work together at events, exhibits and fundraisers.

During the weekend of the festival, volunteers staff eleven art exhibits, information booths, and operate the Festival’s Logo Store. They also run other events including the Children’s Festival, the Street Festival, Model Boat Building, a Sand Sculpture Competition, concerts at Crocker Park, and Writers World.

In May, folks can assist in the planning stages. During the rest of the year, festival committees plan, produce, and sponsor other arts events such as Holiday Artisans Marketplace and the Winter Film Festival.

Festival Board members and Committee chairpersons will be present at the Volunteer Information Party to discuss Festival activities and answer questions.
