Marblehead Home to One of the 'Best Massachusetts Bars Outside Boston'

One of the 14 best bars in Massachusetts outside Massachusetts is in Marblehead, according to a list compiled by Thrillist.

The Landing made a list of “14 gems (to visit) when you find yourself outside the Hub.”

Thrillist said “it doesn’t matter if you’re a crusty fisherman, a fancy Marblehead High alum, or somewhere in between, if you’re up on North, you’ve got to go to the Landing on Marblehead harbor.”

The Landing hosts live music, weddings, “a crazy Loyalty club,” a mug club and a wine club, the list notes.

They recommend you “just walk in, get a Harpoon and some of their Stuffies off the pub menu.”

Other bars on the list include The Pub in Amherst, Ward Eight in Lowell, The Beachcomber in Wellfleet and Dunn-Gaherin’s Food & Spirits in Newton.
