Marblehead mom Darcy Mayers' essays will be among those debated in a new New York Times book group geared toward mothers.
Marblehead mom and sometimes Patch columnist will soon share her wisdom with a larger audience.
Samantha Parent Walravens' acclaimed anthology,“Torn: True Stories of Kids, Career and the Conflict of Modern Motherhood in which Mayers has two essays, was recently chosen to be the first book read and debated on the New York Times Motherlode blog bookclub.

"About once a month I will take a book down from my overstuffed shelves (or something brand-new that hasn’t even had time to make it onto one of the piles) and introduce it to you," Belkin wrote in her inaugural post.
Mayers and other contributors to Torn will also be featured guests on Emily Rooney’s WGBH show Wednesday.
